Chili Challenge Auction Piece

This portrait was completed in October 2010. My services were auctioned off at the Limestone Co. Chili Challenge last February, and this little girl in the photograph is the daughter of the lady who won the bidding.
I can definitely tell that my talents are improving. I took my time drawing this portrait and I spread it out over several sittings. I noticed that each time I sat back down to work on it, I noticed a mistake I had previously missed. Practice makes perfect!

Woods Family Portrait

This portrait was completed in September 2010 for a one of my mother's friends, Ms. Carpenter. She asked that I draw her parents and siblings from some childhood photographs that she had.

This project was a challenge for me because I'm not used to drawing smaller portraits. However, I'm excited about this piece and I'm glad I was blessed with this opportunity.

Whit & Ellen Brewer

This portrait was completed in Spring of 2010 for a teacher that I work with. These are her children, Whit and Ellen.

"Always, No Matter What."

"Always, No Matter What"- 14x17" Acrylic on Canvas

I painted this for my best friend, Katrina, for her 23rd birthday. I guess you could say this painting is an ode to our friendship. The tree represents the 'tree of life.' The knarled branches and jagged bark represents the trials we face in life. The two birds symbolize our friendship, and the signs hanging from the tree are there to remind her that no matter how scary life may be I'll always have her back, no matter what.

Chase's Titans Football Collage

Titans Football Collage- 3x4' Acrylic on wood
This painting was a gift for my nephew, Chase, for his 8th birthday. He really loves football and he loves the Titans so I painted him something to represent both. He loved the painting and I enjoyed making it for him.

"Logan's Horses"

"Logan's Horses" - 3x4' Acrylic on wood

I finished this painting in September 2010 for my friend, Kati, so she could hang it in her little boy's cowboy- themed bedroom. I had so much fun painting this and I'm a little sad to watch it go, but I'm thrilled with where it's headed! I'm very pleased with how this painting turned out and I look forward to creating more paintings similar to this. Thanks again, Kati! :-)

This painting is large in size, but looks great on a bare wall. It is easily mounted with four transparent wall mounts, which I will provide. This board is SUPER light weight and will not require a stud for hanging.
